Porter and Portia have both been released from formal training. Porter for minor hip dysplasia and Portia for hot spots. They will join they're brother, Pepsi, in looking for new homes! Right now the problem is too many people want to adopt them! There just isn't enough golden love to go around....but Porter will sure try!
If there were an olympic event in sulking, Porter would definitely medal! Here he is displaying his hot-spot headdress. He needed a compress held on for at least an hour twice a day. The only way to keep it on was to keep it well wrapped. After his neck started feeling better, he started resenting his treatments. His sulking became so professional he would even ignore treats for a full 45min after his head-dress was applied (and hide on his bed, lol). I think that part he hated most was that his ears ended up being 'tied-back'. Poor puppy! He can be such a drama queen sometimes!
Porter loves Sundays. Sunday evening we prepare his kongs for the week by stuffing them with canned dog food and popping them in the freezer. When we're done, he gets the empty can to 'help' clean up. He thinks recyclables are the best toys ever! He even spends his yard time picking through the recycling bin and strewing the contents about the yard. He REALLY loves you if he brings you a can as a present!
Porter does NOT like vacuum. While 'mom' was upstairs cleaning up the mess he made while destroying a rope toy, he hid under the table with his duck-duck for comfort. The big baby!
Porter's new favorite retrieve is his roommate's shoes. And if he doesn't find someone to give them to....well, let's just say the shoe does not come out 'alive.'
While in MA, Porter noticed that Piper seemed to get royal treatment. She was even allowed on the furniture!
So one day, Porter decided to try his luck too (maybe rules in MA are different than those in MI!). Here he is singing about his conquest/laughing at what a good seat he has. He had to have a couple quick pictures before being yelled at. But even then, he thought he could keep the seat if he gave 'puppy eyes'.
When I went to call Porter in from outside this evening he didn't come immediately running for his treat! Next, I hear a thump from beneath my feet. Looking over the railing, all I see is this little yellow nose peeking out, so I had to grab the camera and get another picture from the side before helping him out!
Because we already had the camera out, Porter decided to ham it up a bit, with his frisbee. He also showed off his beautiful pose he always strikes while pee-ing
